The brackets you list as fuel pump are actually for the coil. They are very similar but the ears of the fuel pump brackets slant downward.

Bruce ( @http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=1319 ) , I am not so sure about that...

These were removed from fuel pump assembly. You can see the semi-circular notch on the top of the omega which is there to clear the fuel pump connector. The coil bracket doesn't have the circular notch.

Edit: This is what I am referring to. I may be wrong, but I don't see any pictures of coil brackets with that notch. That being said, this bracket could probably be used for either (pump or coil). Get two for $40 shipped! biggrin.gif

You could be right. I have a couple coils with the brackets still on them. I wll see if they have that notch which i can't see that it serves a purpose. But if i am right that notch would provide clearance for the round connector housing.

Gonna say I am pretty sure those are fuel pump brackets. After so recently futzing around with my lines that bracket is keenly in my memory. The cut out bit is indeed where the electrical harness fits. The PO of mine had flipped this bracket so it was nearly impossible to get the lines and pump to fit without binding, or that is just correct which is not ideal. I flipped it which made that problem go away. Meaning indentation facing rearward not back to the firewall.
