It's a fun age and they sure have some fun toys these days!

We got Logan the Power Wheels Jeep last Christmas. He's an amazingly good driver, and already picks up girls at the park. "Hey do you want to go for a ride in my Jeep?" It's hilarious.

Isn't giving your son a sports car like giving your daughter a credit card?

...or a Cel Phone.

He'll have a cell phone too, probably when he's about 8 or 10. We want it for a safety thing, so He can dial 911 or we know where he is at, and we have a way to contact him.

Has any sick father (or mother) ever modified one of these cars? I did a little surfing yesterday and found some interesting sites. One guy is selling plans to increase voltage and add a second pedal. I kinda like the idea of having a "gas" and brake too teach the kids more about real cars. I found another site where a guy gave his jeep a large lift (Chris?).

My plans for the 911 (once I finish this damn 1/18 diecast 914) is to detail the interior with paint and trim, paint the exterior (decals have already been stripped and looks much better), add a full light package, and try to lower the car a bit. I'm trying to design a brake light circuit too.

Oh, I am a sick soul. cool_shades.gif

XMAS bike

i dunno if i would call myself sick ohmy.gif ,but yes i did my own converson (couldnt just leave it alone )the 6 volt motors are designed to handle 12volts but the gearing for the 6 volt is diffrent.the car my kid has is fast. faster that i thought it would be.i might have to tone it down alittle.

You guys are crazy! At 5mph the Jeep is already just fast enough to be hard to keep up with at the park as he is weaving thru the kids on razors and rollerblades and bikes... We usually keep the "stop" bolt installed which limits it to 2.5mph.

Of course when he gets a little older, he will feel the Need For Speed and I will see if he wants to drive karts or whatever. No pressure. wink.gif For now he is not even 3 yet so it's all good.
