I've had my snow tires on for three weeks now, it is snowing as we speak and it is beautiful! No I don't drive the teener in the snow, which wouldn't hurt it, but the salt they put on the roads would eat it alive.
Your President was in the neighbour this morning, he was well received and gave a great speech. I think he found the temperature a little cooler than what he is used to, but the warmth from the crowd more than made up for it.

Yep, the "Pinneaple Express" has come threw and warmed everything up almost 20 degrees. It should pass in another few days and when it does, I am betting we will get a cold snap. Back into the mid 30's.

Stupid "pineapple express" haunts me wherever I live. I was horrible at Mt. Alyeska Alaska, turned beautiful snow into mashed potatos in an instant.

3 days ago it snowed 18 inches, yesterday it rained 2' inches, today it is almost 60 deg. My driveway is a freakin mess.

If my engine was in the car I could drive it the roads are dry, but I wouldn't be able to get it out of the garage, through the driveway.

Posted by: Rhodes71/914 Dec 10 2004, 06:37 PM

The Pineapple express is when moist warm air is drawn up from the pacific around the Hawiian islands. Mostly occuring in the winter months. Yes I imagine that it could effect cali. In the picture you can see that the storm system moving on shore in Washington starts way down south of Hawaii. Sometimes you can see a straight line of clouds/moisture directly from Hawaii to Alaska. Prolly more info than you needed but you asked. biggrin.gif
