I will continue to make these, but if the roof is loose it can squeak. This is more of a concourse piece, as well as solving the problem.

I'm in for one, also need another set of the side targa rubber strips, I keep trimming them a little too short and they leak at the front where they seal against the front window-targa seal.
I can come pick them up.
Posted by: Mblizzard Sep 25 2013, 03:14 PM
Mark you are a very bad man! How is it you come up with just the part I need? I am in and I want to work a deal for some front and rear trunk seals.

Yes, the profile is like OEM. It will install like OEM. I have not included metal plates in these as they shouldn't be necessary. I can add them as an option at $25 for those that want them.
Let me know who is interested.
Parts are 3-4 weeks out.
Mark I want one. BTW got parts package and have transferred some money into my paypal. Will send you payment when money shows up in the account. What is your paypal email address. Thanks Neil

I have these up on the site as well as opening up a few older GBs to save some cash if you missed them. I'm keeping this open til the 9th.
-Mark
http://shop.914rubber.com/GB-Specials_c22.htm;jsessionid=3B15BF8A32CD79FB6341ADE2A90535E3.m1plqscsfapp01
The main reason I put this on the site is to not confuse my shipping assistants and allow them to ship while I'm at the day job. You an easily combine any other items as I know a few of you wanted a few goodies added in. I just can't keep track of it all in the PM system anymore, and conveying it to be shipped can create errors.
Posted by: biosurfer1 Oct 31 2013, 08:05 AM

Great idea! I bought one without the fuzz a while back from914 rubber ..... is there a way to put fuzz on the one I have, or do I need to buy a new one?
Posted by: euro911 Nov 17 2013, 03:50 PM
I bought one a few years ago that came with a separate 'fuzzy' piece with double-stick tape on the back. Not sure where I bought it, but I didn't install the fuzzy (and my top 'squeaks')
I guess you could glue a strip of 'fuzzy' material or even some felt if you can figure out what type of adhesive works the best
I ordered a new one from Mark though ...

If you want to send it back I can add the fuzzey no problem. Just include a return label and postage.
The diference is the material. These are the same profile as OEM in rubber with the lip at the base.
If anyone has an uninstalled seal I will credit the purchase price to the upgrade of the seal. I will do so even at the Group buy price.
I appreciate you buying the old ones and if you haven't used it I can still resell it.

I may have sent you some bulk material that we were looking at with the idea you could glue it. I never offered it to the masses. We opted to not use that material as it was difficult to bond it straight. It was not self adheasive.
Hope this helps.
I think I only sold one. If it was you no problem taking it back if it's not used.

I'll honor the GB price on these as we still haven't got the metal version complete, and still gave some work to do.
it'll take me 2 -3 hours before I can get it onto the website. So if you want to combine with other gbs you can. However this can't ship in a flate rate envelope, so git will be by weight.
thx

Howdy Mark,
I received the fuzzy bulk material 2-3 years ago(?) shortly after buying/installling a Mikey914 roof seal. The fuzzy part did not install so well, so I use the roof seal without the fuzzy. On smooth roads this is OK, but from the highway to our rural cabin 2.5 miles in, the road is a wee bit rough [sarc], and the roof seal squeeks wildly.
Is there a chance you will sell just the self-adhesive fuzzy, that I can install myself?
Thanks,
--Moe--

Just saw the new responses here, realized I never responded (at least not in this thread). Naw, I ended installing the seal on the 'summer top' back in 2012 - didn't use the 'fuzzy', but I think the fuzzy stuff is still around here ... somewhere

My records indicate this was pre rubber seal. In other words old foam profile. The new ones come with the fuzzey attached. It is not self adhesive. We have got it down finally. It is a pain, but right now we are out of material until the next run as its all bonded to the seals on the shelf. Hit me up in 3 weeks I can probably accommodate you somewhere in that time frame.
thanks,
mark

Yes it was. I was feeling nice and opened it back up as there was a significant interest.
I will take a return of any unused seal, and credit toward these.

I had an order in for one with metal, but seeing as how that may not happen, could you send one without metal?

Weve had issues with bonding on the metal part. Its really messy and difficult to get a consistent look. So no not yet but its on the list
