Hey everyone,

My name is Billy. I've found your site through Excellence magazine. I must say everything that i have been looking at on your website is great. Lots of great ppl and products. Keep up the good work.

I have been a 914 owner since i was 13 years old. Still have my original 74 1.8. I have had 2- 74 2.0 as well as the 1.8.

Currently my 74 is being repaired structurely to get it ready for some track days and maybe some PCA racing. Also having the 1.8 brought upto a 2.3
Cant wait for it to get back in my hands to drive it again.

On the other side of things I sell Subaru's here in NJ. I see that there is some slight interest in subies and 914's.
Own and drive a 2001 Subaru Rally car in NASA and Rally America events coming this summer. Also got 3 other subies and a Peugeot 505 Turbo S wagon.

Sorry for the long intro. Hope to meet some ppl out here in the Tri-State area soon.

Hi Billy,
Normally we ask new members of the club to qualify their interest and dedication to the 914 before we spend any time in misguidance, verbal harassment or other forms of degradation.

Welcome Billy, good to have you here. Most of the people here are more interested in putting a Subie motor into a 914 rather than to have one to drive. The engine is so similar but stronger. We really need to see pictures of your car though so without anymore talk.

Welcome, and I don't want a subby motor in my 914 but I have been thinking about getting another subby, they are great cars!

Welcome! I guess this proves that advertising does help spread the word. Definitely would love to see pics of the 914(s) and Subie Rally car if you get a chance

These guys are crazy and you'll find yourself watching Z's avatar for hours and you'll spend hours and hours reading about these great cars and their owners

Welcome. This can be a pretty great place to waste giant piles of time.

Subies: Sold our '01 Impreza last spring, and this is the longest I have gone without owning one in probably 20 years. I'd say between my wife and I we have had over a dozen of them. Great cars every damn one, which I am missing particularly with the weather we've been having.

Ha.. testiment to my incredible memory, now that you mention it, I remember the convo. I bought a half done restoration for dirt cheap, though the body is in some sorry shape. Gotta come up and see the ones you've got.

you're on NASIOC too?

Why is it that so many Porsche owners are into Subarus too. I have i dont know how many customers that own various different Porsches.

924- Legacy L
928- Forester XT
944- 300+hp WRX
911- GT LTD wagon
964- Outback
993- STi
996- 2.5GT LTD
986- STi
Cayenne- STi

And of course 914- Forester XT

All these ppl out there own both. Why is that?

There's alot of 914/subie owners here too.. I guess we appreciate good cars Being 914 enthusiasts, we tend to need more reliable cars that are still fun, for daily drivers or for backups. In my case, the 914 is my daily driver, I have several not terribly reliable classics as backups (I've only had to walk to the auto parts store once). The subie wagon is my wife's car, but it's also our travelling car (we travel way too much)

what kind of fuel controllers are you running on your subbies? stock, piggy back units, aftermarket $$$ efi ecu, modified stock ecu? just curious. thanks!
