Eric that is a good price. I will send you a set.

That is "each" and yes... I can do "Red".

I got a nice set from Eric... and his prices have gone down!!!

They work great.

Thanks Carlos...

I think you're looking at the "per piece" price however. They're $190.00 for a pair "rebuilt". Yours were $100.00 a pair "as is". They were in great shape though.

Glad they worked... IPB Image How'd everything work out for you?? M/C? Brakes? Lines?

Hey, Eric,

You may have a customer is me. A question for you first, though.

Background: I moved my 914 front calipers to the rear, and used "M" calipers in the front... per the rules for E-production. All new plumbing with a Wilwood dual M/C setup.
Under hard braking the right rear locks up first. My thought is that something's wrong with my caliper(s)..... or maybe my mounting. Any thoughts?

I bought rebuild kits for all of the calipers, but I like the idea of replacing the pistons, too.

Kevin,

Based on what you mentioned (all new plumbing etc.) It sounds like a sticking piston. It happened to me the first time I rebuild the m-calipers on my -6. I'm not sure if you need a new piston but a cylinder hone and some 600grit on the pistons should be enough to make it like new.

I used new rubber lines and rebuilt them again honing the cylinder etc. Problem solved.

Hey Eric,

How hard would it be to rebuild calipers from an '87 Carrera? I would like to get mine powdercoated red and all the hardware plated, I don't think the rebuild kits are all that much.

Shouldn't be too difficult. Kits are around $25.00 each. Not sure about the powdercoating issue. Brakes can get very hot. I think there's specialty paints that actually might react better.

Eric,

They're working great. Only one "run" so far... for the Hangover Rally... but they kept me out of the cliffs and the mountain sides... even with Jay Leno's chin on my rear end...

And yes, it was a great deal, and yes, I'm more than grateful for them.

Discount Auto Parts sold me one that leaked out the adj bolt. It has an Oring that was the wrong size and cut it in two when they forced it in the hole.
