914World.com _ 914World Garage _ If The Plenum Temp Sensor Doesn't Work...

By unplugging this sensor it's causing a rich or lean run? If I plug it in the car will idle fine but when I give it gas it stumbles & wants to die almost like it is getting too much air. I have another sensor to replace this one. I just want to understand what is happening. I've read Brad Anders site on all the sensors but it must be too technical cuz I get fogged over after awhile & lose concentration IPB Image
Is there a simple answer?

Is there ever a simple answer to these cars??? IPB Image

It makes the car run richer.
I think Brad says 10% richer on his site.

Mine did the exact thing. I left mine unplugged. I too have read that it does richen the mixture. Ive ohmed mine and it seemed ok. I spent alot of time and $ on my ign system before trying unplugging it. My car idles fine without it. I ordered a new one from the Porshe dealer and they got me the wrong part, it would'nt even fit the hole.
