We all know the Fuchs look great but, aside from the Cookie cutters, Teledials and other traditional Porsche wheels, what look do you like on a 914?
Personally I'd love to see something like a Volk TE37 or OZ Superleggera's on 914.

ATS classics, hands down, I'm fruity for them

Minilite, or any reasonably hand drawn 8 spoke facsimile. empi gt-8's look good.
8 spoke wheels look awesome on everything. Instant race car.

Minilites or Empis. By far the most tasteful and classic for these cars.

^ditto on the Minilites or real Panasports....
One of my old 914's, I redrilled it for a Honda bolt pattern,
16x7 Konig wheels.

Oh, my second favourite thing to support a 914....also made in Britain, light weight cast aluminium, high performance, awesome looks! Everything you could ask for!........ from a sweet set of jack stands.

Empi Sprintstars...I have a set for the 914 that I'd like to sell. ![wink.gif](style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
I really liked them, to me they look like the German iron cross, but I'm going 5 bolt.

Myself I have a set of 15x7 cookiecutters, almost full set of 3 15x7 Fuchs and I've got my eyes on a set of 15x7 BBS crosspokes...but I'm feeling I'd like something more modern perhaps....and ditto on the Minilites....

For a 4 lug wheel I have always been a fan of the revolutions! I even had the chance to buy Elliot's when he went 5-lug. Had to pass as I don't have a 914 that is 4 lug anymore

This is what I'm going to use on my car…Campagnolos. You can get modern repros from a company here in the UK (Group 4).. I love 'em. You see them on a few 911s but not so much on 914s. The blue 930 below is a Magnus Walker car I believe..

Eric you have impeccable taste. (shameless self compliment)
Minilite (real mag wheels) are the utimate.
Empis are attractive stepchildren.
ATS ?..... YES! the perfect angular, spare, all business compliment to 914 style.
First triple post.

Couldn't find any Enkei's so I ended up with another of the "lightest aftermarket wheels" - ARE Lemans. I think they are also in the 13 lb range.

I know the Revs are popular, but I still can't get past the fact that it looks like a different era that doesn't mix. It's a 70s car. Pasting bling from another decade doesn't look right to me.
The Fuchs, Mahles, cookies, minilites, (and variations) all look right. Just don't get too blingy or it looks wrong. Like your grandma with lipstick and high heels.

The only wheels I like are Fuchs 4 and 5 lug, and a few other stock wheels. Anything else doesn't look right to me...

I think there's a lot of wheels that look great, as long as there not 17 or larger on a slim body 914s. In my opinion the larger wheels just don't look right. But hey, as long as the owner likes them--that's all that matters.
Posted by: 7TPorsh Dec 15 2014, 11:41 AM
My car originally had Dan Gurney Indys. I think there were around 12 pounds each.
Really liking the Minilite look and the Campys.
Where are these for sale in 15x6? I like the Empis too but they a little different and remind be of a Super Bug.
