Well, I am on a deadline now with the first kid showing up this summer but I am finally starting to make some progress. I got all my parts back from the powdercoaters and the platers (gold zinc) as well as a set of Mueller's rollerbearings and I started the transmission assembly. Check out the pics:
915 Transmission Rebuild (Thanks Hayden @ WEVO). I am also getting a one piece bearing retainer, WEVO gate-shift, and 1st gear assymetrical update:
Here are all the gold zinc plated parts:
I have been waiting for a good day to take some pictures of the powdercoated parts in the sun, but it has been overcast. The color is called steel grey metallic and has a clear coat on it:
I also installed a set of Mueller's rollerbearings. Only need a little phone support from Mike (Thanks Mike )
Here are the rear control arms with the bearings installed (don't tell the wife I had them in the oven). I also installed the mono-balls from Smart Racing and starting putting the e-brake assembly back together:
How is this for the ultimate pedal assembly? Bronze bushings, powdercoated, and zinc plated. Looks awesome:
Here is the money shot, I think the color looks awesome:
Next steps:
1. Install the suspension.
2. Plumb up the brakes.
3. Finish the turbo piping
4. Get it together!!

Only one word comes to mind: Art.
Dam britian, that is the shit!. One pretty tail dragger for sure!. So are those rear drum breaks? I thought the 912 was 4 wheel disc?
Eir
the drum brakes are for the hand/emergency brake only
they are located inside the rear brake disk

Thanx for the porn
WBR
Joe
Damn looks great.
You can't do that. You just can't! You are a nut!
M
Nice stuff. I really like the zinc plated stuff
Really good...
KT
That looks pretty nice Britain.
So, THATS what a 912 is supposed to look like. VERY NICE!!!!!
Do you remember where all those pretty plated nuts and bolts go? Just make sure you don't have too many left over parts!
It looks fantastic! I can't wait to see it done.
FYI, for those of you who think that my color choice was not the best...you can go yourself. No, just kidding.
It is very hard to tell the colors in the pictures that I took because everything is so washed out. The powdercoating is much darker than it looks in these pics and it has a metallic flake in it which doesn't come out in the pics very well. Also, the interior of the car is a darker shade of red. I will take some pictures of the car outside for all to see later.

yeah -- what britain said. the pictures make the car look pink (you go, girl!), but it's really a nice deep red.
it's one sexy bitch you got there, britain. LOVE the hardware.
It's the same color I did the suspension for http://members.rennlist.com/gman/porsche/74_2.0/ in.

Britain,
You must have some great photo documentation or have a photogenic memory to reassemble all those parts!
