914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Supermex......Friday night!!

Posted by: skline Apr 6 2005, 11:56 PM

It's been 3 weeks since the last official Supermex dinner. Anyone up for it this Friday at 7:00 or 7:30? Aaron wanted me to post it since it is so late being announced. Us Californians are short notice kind of people. Post here if you can make it. Great food and great company.

Never been to a "Supermex" other than the ones in Long Beach and Lakewood. Where is the one you are referring to?

Super Mex is OK.
How about a different venue?
The Tee room @Newport Executive Golfcourse
Irvine Ave and the 73 freeway.
Its a great place with $1.00 tacos.
Great Drinks and a good seating arrangement.
Just 5 minutes from Super mex on the freeway.

I would have to take a bank loan out for the petrol to get there!

How 'bout "In and Out" in Corona? Plenty of parking for numerous teeners, spacious accomodations and the finest in American cusine. biggrin.gif

Posted by: skline Apr 7 2005, 09:03 AM

I would be up for that, the only problem is that at that time on a Friday, you cant get to Corona from OC. Aaron, Matt and a lot of us are going to be in the OC Friday till then. Maybe we could do a Saturday thing instead?

Posted by: Joe Sharp Apr 7 2005, 09:19 AM

What ever you guys do I'll be in for it.

The 91 freeway is a way too crowded on frriday night.
Even with the Fast Track which is the only way to go on the 91.
Best thing I ever did was get that litttle box.

Posted by: Aaron Cox Apr 7 2005, 09:30 AM

we can try a new venue next time..... maybe this will be the last supermex trip

BTW its off ellis and brookhurst in fountain valley

I'll be in La Verne Friday evening so if you folks choose the Tea Room that may work for me. In-n-Out in Corona is best for me that night. Supermex closes too early.

Although I would like something closer to me (Riverside) it would take you "Costers" like 2 1/2 hours to get half way over here. Thats because everyone and their imigrants (oops, did I say that) are trying to get to Vegas at the same time. screwy.gif It is pretty quick for us three "Inlanders" to travel toward the coast on Friday nights.

I agree for a different venu. Something with more parking would be nice. rolleyes.gif

This "Tea Room" La Verne is alot closer to me, but it may kill the rest of ya to get to . THE 10 BLOWS!

Let me know what the decision is. chowtime.gif

A different day of the week and/or closer location would make a difference for me. Of course, the difference would be that I would feel a little more guilty when I don't go. biggrin.gif

If it was on Saturdays, I could even get down to a few.

I take after MikeZ....you don't have to invite me 'cause I'm gonna crash it anyway....just to really piss you off...then I'm gonna be louder than normal and follow you where ever you go to really piss you off....then I'm going to say bad things about you and make you feel bad.......So, the moral is...KMA bootyshake.gif

Taco Mesa was rated the #1 Mexican food in Orange County by AOL City Guide, there is also an In n Out (Rated #1)in the same parking lot and right across the street is Pacific Coast Hot Dog (Rated #1 in OC)

It is East of the 55 on Chapman in Orange, then everyone could cruise out through Trabucco Canyon.

Scott: I got this little problem, I know you and My Big Brother Joe are working for Super. But They Did Not inform Alberto of..... nevermindIjusthaveahardtimewithit. You know I like The Chicken Coop, a Tea Room, would be OK. AS close as it is to my house, I would rather go somewhere else.
biggrin.gif Joe

Posted by: skline Apr 7 2005, 11:09 PM

I dont recall Alberto saying anything about any conflict, but if it is really bothering people, we can switch to the Chicken Coop if everyone is in favor of that. Maybe we could get the top level for teeners? Doubtful but we could at least get our own area. Let me know what you all want to do. I am still in either way. They also stay open later.

Posted by: Joe Sharp Apr 7 2005, 11:22 PM

I really enjoyed my tostada last time at super, prolly couse who I be with. So it don't matter where we go. Hooters is gunna open soon at La Quinta.
biggrin.gif Joe

Posted by: skline Apr 7 2005, 11:40 PM

I would be in for Hooters on a regular basis, when does it open? That would be cool. They would get to know us.

Where is La Quinta?

Posted by: Elliot Cannon Apr 8 2005, 12:26 AM

I'd love to be there but I'll be in Guangzhou China on Friday. Gotta weekend layover there so there won't be any Mexican food for me for a while. Maybe we should pick two places. One in the Corona, Riverside area and the other in OC. That'd make it a bit more fare for Slits and the Children of the Valley of the Dirt.
Cheers, Elliot

Was running like crap before. Thought that there was bad gas. Changed gas. Was making a weird noise, kinda like a knocking, but not. confused24.gif Had no power whatsoever! Had to go up hill in 2nd gear! ohmy.gif Seems ok on level ground, but falls on its face if any type of load is put on it. dry.gif
Changed timing several times, changed a couple of distributors, charged battery...... not getting any spark. Volts vary from 10-14.....???? Still wont start.

Welp, hope to make it anyways.
