Hey everyone,
My name is Colin and I am obviously a newbie, but you'll get to know me better in time. So, let me tell ya about myself... I own a '75 Porsche 914 1.8L with a dual carb setup. I still have my fuel injection system, it's in a box, it's just it wasn't working properly and one problem followed after another, I am only 18 so I want to become more experienced with the fuel injection system before putting it back together. My other vehicles include an '84 mustang svo and a '74 Porsche 914 that I want to do a 6-cylinder conversion in. Anyway, that's my first car, the 914, but not the first Porsche to be in our family. We had a '77 924, two 914's before, a '70 911 which was modified with updated body styling and a 3.0L.
Anyway, that's me, welcome me into your empire!
You are gonna fit right in!

welcome here too!!
didnt you stop at flat-6.net last week?
Get out now while you can.
Soon you will be consumed with the "club site". It will be the first thing you do when you wake up and the last thing you do before you go to bed. Not to mention the time in between.
I don't see too many newbie untill the welcome is on page three, so I'll take this opportunity...
... Welcome. Huh. That wan't what I was expecting. Oh yeah, you have too many cars. Throw away the 'stang but keep the motor (Mmmm V8 914) to spank the local kids with their Civics and such.
haha, hey the mustang is not a v8 guys, it's a 2.3L turbocharged four cylinder. Yeah I know, my orange '74 was running before but I wanted the carbs off of it plus it was in rough shape. I remember driving it one day and it like split a bit or something that my targa top popped off it's back clips. Haha, good times, it's basically a shell right now since I've stripped everything out of it, I wanna get it dipped or something. But I've heard the saying before..."the cheapest porsche you buy is the one you end up spending the most money on." Something like that. Yes, yes I did stop at flat 6 the other day, gettin' connected with my fellow others. And yes there are beavers here and it's quite cold, it snowed today!!!
Welcome to the club Colin!
Put your first name in your sig. We're a friendly bunch.
Oh, and...
These are pics of my Porsche 914 being towed about 4 months ago to a friends place for work. My friend has a whole bunch of porsches because that's his business, lol most of them are parts cars but he has a couple really nice ones that he has in his garage. Anyway, I will have the whole lot of pics tomorrow for ya all, but here's my 914. If ya look closely, I had to remove the metal rocker panels due to some minor rust, I have since replaced that with a pair of fiberglass rockers.Modifications that my friend the mechanic did was install a pair of 140lbs. springs, mine were already worn, setup and tuning of my dual solex carbs, 009 distributor added, and fuel lines replaced. My 914 is due for a paint job soon, near the end of may it shall be painted it's metallic blue. Originally a Texas vehicle; my hood and trunk are sun faded. Fun Fun.
