This Wednesday I had a Concrete company come in and give me a bid on pouring a concrete floor at CAMP. One of the guys saw a Mustang there and asked if I liked them, I said" yes"," he said we just did a job and the guy has a 1966 Mustang that he wants to sell" . He told me it was in a garage and had been there since 1988. Tires flat and he thougth it was a fastback, My ears perked up!!! He said the guy told him it was one step down from a GT 350, 271 HP and a four barrel. He also told me the would sell it for $10,000. Well I called the guy today and went over to look at the car. He took me to his little one car garage, and inside was a medium blue Mustang fastback with four flat tires and plates with 1988 tags. Coverd with blankets and dust. He pulled back the blankets and it just kept getting better. So we talked and I llooked the car over, I finally asked him the $64million dollar question , he said he was firm at $8500. OKAY. I was ready to jump out of my flip flops. I said I can live with that and hightailed it for the nearest B of A.
I later came back with the tow dolly and this is what I brought home.

I'm not a Stang guy, but that's purdy!
I had a 64 1/2 260 V8 with a generator, manual trans, AZ car. It was one of the hardest cars I ever tried to sell. Ford guys have less money than me..
Nice score Craig.
Hey PM me some details on the GWH.. got the pics ok.
Nice score Craig.
You sure do get some deals.
That's a beauty Craig. Looks like it belongs in the Henry Ford museum. Too bad youre a long way from the Woodward Ave. DreamCruise this August.

It must be a small world. One of my co-workers was having some concrete work done. He told me last week that was trying to sell a 66’ Fastback Mustang to one of the concrete workers to help finance the concrete work. The concrete guy didn’t buy, and I was asked if I knew anyone who wanted to buy a 66’ Mustang Fastback. How many people around the Portland area, that jest tried to sell a 66 Fastback to a concrete guy could there be? I think you jest bought that Mustang from one of my co-workers. Craig I knew you liked Mustangs, but when I was at camp last Monday it looked pretty full with white 914's & the thought of adding more cars jest didn't click in my head. I have now learned, never underestimate Craig.
Great Find, How are the "Longs, Hell Hole" Okay? any Rust?
Well it's not aircooled, but at least it's got solid lifters. Nice score Craig. A '66 'K' code fastback. Wow.
-Ben M. (w/ '66 that is NOT a 'K' code, and NOT a fastback. )
you stepped in some "SWEET SHIT"
Richard, I have seen the Woodward dream cruise on Speed TV, I would love to drive that one someday.
Lou, I looked under the car no rust and the battery tray is intact and door gaps are good, as well as the pickup points.
Joe, Is your co workers last name Sharp? If not then tell me more about the one your co-worker has??
Thanks guys I finally got a chnace to was the Mustang today and just kind of oplan what I need to do first.
Drain the gas(varnish) tank, and send it out for a cleaning, and then pull the wheels and brake drums for an inspection, probably need a master cylinder and wheel cylinders. Okay that enough for now.

sweet! very nice looking.

Yup, you're a bastard Craig! How the hell are you going to drive all these cars as much as they deserve. I think you should hire me to drive each one for a few hours a day. It's a shitty job, I know, but I'd be willing to do it.
sorry mike. that position is currently filled.
k
Mike, Send me a resume. The current driver has a tough time showing up for work.
