What are you all doing to clean a mildewed interior. Interior seems nice, but was sitting a long time in a garage....white mold mildew everywhere.....curious if you had any suggestions to help clean this up??

Look for a product called X14 at your hardware store. Comes in a spray bottle. Makes the mold disappear. Test for colorfast in a hidden area as it has some bleach content.

never use anything with bleach, use vinegar. the bleach causes the mold spore to break open and spread more spores into the air, the vinegar does not but kills the mold and mildew and will not hurt the color or material.
if you use any kind of oil on the surface it wil give the mold and mildew something to grown on as
well.

Use a vinegar-based product, NOT bleach.
Oh crap, just saw Phil's post. smile.gif Confirmation!! Bleach is a nasty product that causes damage. Vinegar is more effective against mold, doesn't hurt anything, and doesn't leave a smell behind after it evaporates.

Great information. Planning on going after it at least one more time, just to make sure.
