Over forty years ago no one that I know off bothered to document owners and VINs of our 914s. I wonder if any of these /6s have survived and who on this Forum might own them.
Paul
Thanks for these. Very cool to see.
That flared silver car sure has the look. Love the simplicity and those big tires—though there is something funny about the rear mudflaps as well as the "Fuchs" on this car...the shade of the wheels' spokes as well as the lips in particular.
Love the green (Delphi?) car on steelies, too. Never thought I'd like early steelies on a 914, but they are coming back for me. Go figure...

Where were the cars when you got the pics ? Was it a PCA event ?

Still here...although been gt'd. One leftover steelie in my shop too

Wonder where this one is today ¿

Well, after 40 years I'm happy to say it's still in my garage, ready to go back to the track.

My first 914. Pic taken in Davis, CA. Low miles 1976. Owned it for 7 years 1979-86. Then I was 914less for 28 years until I found my 73 in the 914World classifieds in 2014.

Mine is close by, just as it has been for the past 46 years..

Pretty sure that is Bob Zulkowski's '71 914-6. That is the Six that lit my passion for the 914-6. Bob and Troy Powell owned Metal Craft in San Leandro, CA in the early 70's. They worked on my '73 914 2.0 and my 2nd 914-6. Great guys the both of them. The guy with the dark hair and glasses on the left in the group of three is Bob I am pretty sure.

Just noticed the subtle gray strip up the center of this black car…perhaps a painter's touch?

INTERESTING TOPIC. I wish I knew where my original car was in this picture, wish I had it the whole time until now instead of selling it, what a mistake to sell it.
1983, me at 30 years old in San Jose, CA.

This was taken at our wedding, November 19th, 1988.

Yep.. that is the exact same 914 that Betty drove to Okteenerfest this year. 410,000 miles!

Not quite 40 years, but was taken when I first bought the car and took it for a test drive to Monterey. Interestingly, the site in the picture is Sunset Beach. And, I drove to Monterey from Sunset Beach.
And recently at Mammoth WCR.....

I was Bob's Crew Chief for the Trans Am series in 1980. That grey strip up the middle was an old school airbrushed pattern. Looked like it was a fancy crochet pattern if I remember correctly.

I was at that Parade with my silver '71 which I've had since new- was looking for it in those pix! And my dad had his '71 bahia red 914 there as well. We both drove over from Iowa.
Worst part of that day was that the Pitkin County road crew decided to put fresh tar on the road up to the concours early that morning!!

914 looks about the same, i don't. i'm rusty and i'm sure i must have deserved a hell hole - at least.

I always thought the Grasshopper paint scheme was cool. Its a shame they were not "real." I've always kinda wondered how that got started.

Hello,
this is Bob Zulkowski's car. It is still alive.
It is in Germany now.
Found an old registration card with his name on it.
