Today I cleaned and painted the parts of the front suspension. After blasting I put on primer first and when dry applied a nice coat of 2K paint.
Very nice- that's the way to do it.
While you're in there make sure to replace at least the rear A-arm bushings. They get flattened out over time and this causes the torsion bar inside to rub against the ID of the arm. this results in pitting corrosion and leads to a fatigue fracture of the bar, seen it several times. The forward bushing sees much less vertical load and doesn't get out of round.
