I hate these reliability tests... I drive a car built almost 20 years before I was born and I consider my car reliable.

Posted by: redshift Jul 10 2005, 02:15 AM

The people who take the questionaire may well be people with unreliable trunk latches, or dirty trunk sills.

dude, I would drive my 914 up to Kerry's cookout now....I just don't like buying oil in gallon jugs. Otherwise I consider my car very reliable.

no joke.

one of the things mentioned were a recall because a brake fluid warning sticker was not in clear enough sight... dry.gif

hey, if I spent 100k on a car, I'd be pissed if something wasn't right too...

this is a consumer report article, not a survey of owners, btw, they used the data of "repairs made" and recalls.. and the article even said that the people who brought the cars in, were more particular about a car than the average person would be...

they also consider a car to be "poor" if 15% have an issue... and I think only 1 or 2 had a "poor" in a category

Another way to look at this is to look at the most realible cars. JD Powers came out with there listing last month. One Porsche made the list, no MB, Jag, Volvo, Saab, or, in fact, no other European car. The AMERICAN cars did the best taking 11 of the 18 catigories.
