So we went deep on this one. We even made the bases. Our kits will come in options
1- Basic (you will not be removing the arms from the base)
- Includes the set of new arms left and right
- New springs - with double loop like factory (there is a reason they did this)
- securing hardware that will keep the arm aligned properly
2- Standard ( removing arms -adds the new arm pins)
- Includes the set of new arms left and right
- New springs - with double loop like factory (there is a reason they did this)
- set new arm pins that you can install without special tools
- securing hardware that will keep the arm aligned properly
3- Most complete kit (only missing the arms)
- Includes the set of new arms left and right
- New springs - with double loop like factory (there is a reason they did this)
- set new arm pins that you can install without special tools
- securing hardware that will keep the arm aligned properly
- Both left and right bases
We are working on complete latch assemblies, but we have other foundry work in front of it and it may be some time before we can complete these and sell as units, so we decided to offer as kits. I will have pricing figured out by end of the week.
There are a lot of moving pieces on this one (pun intended) so I need to make sure I need to finalize my numbers
I'm shooting a restoration video on how to do this today and tomorrow, so I'm not just selling you a pile of parts, I'll show you how to do it.
So who's interested?

I am interested in the most complete kit.
I will second a desire for the most complete kit.
Are you offering early and late sets?
The housings in the picture are late. They are not interchangable
The hooks and arms are the same early and late.

Sounds good
Watching, not sure which kit I need yet. I haven't used the top in so long, I didn't know I had problems.
I'm interested, just completed my restoration, not perfect but good enough for me.

Interested in a complete kit. Thanks, Mark.
Complete kit! Interested.
Ok
Day job keeping me busy. The kits are finished I just need to complete the video.
The repair kits complete are of the late variety.
I can do another run of bases and make them the early ones. From what I’ve seen the early ones are also chrome plated. The difference is the spacing on the upper section of the latch.
We will be offering the roof bumpers for the late and early if there is enough demand for early on those too,. They should be ready around Oct.
As far as the option #2 you can use this to rebuild your early latches. I have a set that I can cover differences on in the video and rebuild them too.
I will have a few sets of completely rebuilt early and late for sale later as we have acquired a few extras for the purpose of developing these parts and I do not need all.
So more info soon
Let me know if you have any questions
Looks neat - I need both sides (complete kit)!
-Steve
I'd be interested in a early version and a late version.
Thanks, Mark.
Actually the only difference is the bases. The 2nd option would allow you to use an existing base. We can make that version later, but have to get the 1st version launched 1st.

Getting this put together and working on editing the video, should be about a week. Just have 4 GB's (maybe 5 coming together at the same time).
I'm interested in complete kit. I've got a '75. I'm out in Portland and can pick it up.
DaveB

1974 car.
Thanks
1X Most complete kit for me (70 914)
I'm also interested in a complete set as well.
Thanks
Mack
Should be moving forward with these in a few days. We were finding in testing that the piece we made to swadge together for the arms didn't always fit as it should. I have 2 parts in testing that will be done tomorrow that should offer a resolution on this.
I will start contacting all on this, this next week. Sorry for the delay.
-Mark
@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=3348 Thanks for the update! Been waiting on installing my rollbar vinyl until I had new latches to install. Getting antsy with the driving season approaching quickly.
Ok these are being being put into kits now and PMs will be going out probably 1st of this next week.
If not too late I'm in for an early standard kit...
Nope,
We are trying to get these ready at the same time the E brake cables will be so they could combine.
If not too late, I'm in for the the most complete kit for a 1974.
Thanks
Interested.
Most complete please!
Interested... Both of my arms are worn (I think) as they need some rubber over the pin on the base to keep from rattling. They are definitely annoyingly floppy on the pivot.
Please add me to the list (awaiting pricing)
Thanks Mark!
Need 1 complete set for a '74
Just to clarify; my "sounds good" comment on page one meant yes. The complete kit.
Complete kit for a 76' please.
Count me in. Thanks.

-Mark

The codes are active until midnight pacific end of the month.
Thanks again,
Mark
PS we will have the new pins available if you want some.

Standard late (1975) set for me please.
thnx.
Last call for codes. Blake sending out 4 00 pm Pacific
I'll take a set please!
I'd like a set please!
Yes and no.
Im working this weekend at the day job, so Blake is passing out codes. Hes trying to have a weekend with his family. He was working til 5pm friday and wanted to assure codes could be sent in time. So codes needed to get issued to be used by the end of the month.
Codes are good til then, but you need to get them to use them.
Hope that makes some sense.
Got the code, order placed! Thanks 914Rubber.
