914World.com _ 914World Garage _ The Ultimate Can Am Prize

Posted by: Maltese Falcon Aug 21 2005, 09:08 PM

I was looking thru some of my old archives, and found this page. It is from the Program of the Riverside CanAm and IROC race of Oct. 1973. I think that this car eventually went to Mark Donahue- someone showed that car here recently-up for sale at a consignment dealer.
Small change for 1st place compared to todays payoffs wacko.gif

Notice the first page text "Porsche 914 Roadster, the best selling Porsche in history"?

Denny Hulme, Emerson Fittipaldi, and Peter Revson. You don't see too many F-1 drivers in todays NASCAR oval version of IROC.
