914World.com _ 914World Garage _ oil leak tips?

Posted by: synthesisdv Sep 3 2003, 08:02 AM

Any clues where this oil can be coming from? Looks like a spray or sporadic leak under cornering maybe. In right rear area of compartment.

Also, new plugs all look slightly black with little or no oil. I guess that is good?

And I pulled one of the wires right off the connector. Can I just push it back on or is it toast? They were brand new bosch wires.

Thanks,

That could be coming from the breather tube on the head; I think it is on the backside on the #3 cylinder.

When I auto-x my car for the first time I didn't know about the vents. The course had a long left handed sweeper when I got through my second pass there was a large puddle of oil under my car, I just about sh$t my pants. blink.gif

Damn.. you even ran bulkhead fittings for the blue lines...

Yep.. I dont see a hose for the breather tube on that side (some heads have them some dont).

Black plugs means you are running rich which is better than lean. What year or numbers ECU and MPS? Has the MPS adjusted? On a dyno? Does the MPS hold a 15hg vacuum for 5 minutes? Could be leaking
