914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Early Car Converted to Later Looks

Check out the conversion of a 1978 SC to a 2002 GT2 996 look...not bad if I say so myself. If I were ever thinking about do this, and I am not, I would convert my 912 to the 993 GT2 look...that would be awesome.

Oh my, the speedster looks nice, like the Jack Olsen model.

yeck !!! icon8.gif

Looks cheap and like a kit car....I cannot pin-point what is wrong with it, but it just does not do anything for me

The photos look OK - as do the cars from 20+ feet.
Every one of those updates I have seen in person
looks like a PORSCHE with out the R CHE. (P.O.S.)

Hey Britain,

It's more fun to invest the money in some serious suspension and engine upgrades IMO
A car that's all show and no go is NO FUN (BTDT biggrin.gif)

I would never do it...I was just saying that if I ever were to go that route I would prefer the 993 GT2 over the 996 GT2.

Beleive me, I would rather keep my 912 than waste some cash doing something like that. I am spending plenty as it is getting my type-4 motor together.

Ok, you just had me worried for a minute there biggrin.gif

BTW, did you receive my PM from the pelican bbs?

It's easy to get all sexed up on the lines.

I like the early looks better than the late... I'll never own another 911 car, but if I did, I would want it to look something like that speedster... I have a problem with that..

I lay down to anything that mimics anything about a 356 anything.
