Sean: I'll take a set for the 914 dash gauges, $77.95, and a set for the stock 914 console gauges, $ 32.00 . Can some one confirm that the stock console gauges are 52mm. I did check ,but this metric conversion still has me whiped. i want the polished sets.
$109.75 right , When do you want the money? Now? Or when you get 10 orders? let me know Dave

See you Oct. 18th

no one send money til we have 10 confirmed please.

Posted by: vsg914 Sep 7 2003, 12:12 PM

Dave 52mm is approximately 2-1/6"

Posted by: StratPlayer Sep 7 2003, 01:18 PM

Count me in for the 3 ring set and a set of 3 rings for the console gauges, 2 1/16 according to post above those are 52mm ( I hope), but I want the rings for the 2 1/16 console gauges.

Posted by: vsg914 Sep 7 2003, 01:36 PM

Ok, I've measured the guages from three different consoles on three different cars, and two more from consoles upstairs with my dial calipers. They all measure in at 2.357 inches. That's almost 2-3/8". That's 60.5mm.

52mm? confused24.gif Maybe they made some that are different from mine? confused24.gif

Posted by: seanery Sep 7 2003, 05:11 PM

Maybe the 52mm are the aftermarket size?

Posted by: Aaron Cox Sep 7 2003, 05:12 PM

yes the aftermarket ones are smaller than stock.

Posted by: JmuRiz Sep 15 2003, 01:20 PM

Just let us know how/where to send the payment, thanks!

Posted by: SirAndy Sep 15 2003, 01:25 PM

does anyone have the proper tool to "crimp" them on?
for that money, i would hate to fuck them up with pliers and screw-drivers ...

IF someone can point me to the right tool to mount, i might be in for 5 (911 gauges, remeber?)

Andy

Posted by: seanery Sep 15 2003, 01:34 PM

They say you don't need a tool, just a wee bit of the double sided tape they provide.

OK, let's get the party started.
If you want 'em

send the paypal to me: sean at moronthrottle.com

We'll order them as everyone gets $ in.
Please include your 914club name in the paypal.

Posted by: Van914 Sep 15 2003, 04:21 PM

Are we ready to order yet. If so I will take a set of 3 for the 914.

Posted by: Brad Roberts Sep 16 2003, 12:14 PM

I spent all weekend with the US people who make these... we can get a MUCH better deal. They are based out of Florida.

If you like the Germans.. stick with them.. I'm just giving you another option.

1 3 ring set for the 914 for me

Posted by: seanery Oct 9 2003, 07:47 PM

I'm waiting to hear back if they'll give us the same price for a lesser qty.

Posted by: boxstr Oct 9 2003, 09:26 PM

Sean Could you please list those who are on the group buy.
Thanks.
The set that I bought in Ventura from the Florida people is outstanding. Compared to a set that I purchased from Stuttgart Performance, which were as thin as tin foil, and much more costly than the ones from CARCRAFTER.
CCLINLO

Posted by: seanery Oct 13 2003, 12:12 PM

Group buy is cancelled. Money returned this morning via paypal to those who paid.
We didn't get enough buyers and they jacked the price for a lower qty. sad.gif

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Posted by: Justin Fischer Oct 13 2003, 12:42 PM

Thanks for trying Seanery. Maybe something will work out with the Florida company.

edit: Just found them http://www.carcrafter.com/ $150 for the 914 set

Thanks,
Justin

Posted by: boxstr Oct 13 2003, 06:57 PM

I have been in discussion with Carcrafters, I will post later what information I have.

What are the specs on these things.

We have several shops that "may" be able to pop these things out cost effectively.
