I'm in the process of having my narrow body converted to a steel flared gt body. I'm wondering which if these 2 sets of wheels would be eaisier to make fit. I realize both will need spacers but, which comes closer.

Check these wheels out http://www.ccwheel.com/files/wheelprofiles.php almost affordable at about 2K a set. These look real nice and you can have them made in any size and offset.

8" and 9" are nice, problem is finding good street tires for them ...
7" and 8" will be cheaper and easier to get decent tires ...
oh, and if you manage to find 285/40x16 street tires, let me know, as i have been looking for a set for 2 years now ...

I've got 7's and 8's (x16) on my flared car, no spacers. Note there are 2 offsets for the 8's, the further-out ones I have bring the 245's I'm running out to 1/4" from the flare lip. The 8's I bought at $550 for the pair. I'm told 7's are cheaper than 6's, since the 6" dish while skinny, is used to make 3 piece wheels, but the 7's can't.
You have an opportunity coming up for good deals, namely the Hershey, PA swap meet on April 22. It's a buyer's market there, just make sure you don't buy bent or cracked rims.
Am wondering why you need 9's, sure they look serious, but unless you're going to track the car, you're talking overkill.
I will be tracking the car but in a DE capacity so I guess 9's are not needed, but boy do they look sweet.
