Got a set of Mahles on the way (Thanks Joe). Now got to get something to go on them. Thinking about some 195/55/15s not to big not to small. Has anyone run these and how do they work out. Or any suggestions on other sizes for a 1.7 with no flares. I dont want to roll the fenders either.

205/55/15
mine fit perfect
I have 195-60-15 (MHO, that is wide as you should go on that size wheel)on my 5.5 inch wide Fuch's, fits well, and got some Yoko ES 100's in that size. There are some good choices in this, and in 195-55-15(Stock size on Honda Integra and Civic), though I would be careful about going too short on the sidewalls due to concerns about ride quality. I believe 185-65-15 is very close to stock diameter.
Also have a set of Malhe's on the way and just ordered a set of yoko AVS ES100 195-60-15
I have 195-55-15s on my car (below) & they fit nice and have a nice profile. I was told that 205-50-15 would fit but worried that they may be too wide so I got the 195. When I bought my 74 914, it came with 205-50-15 and they fit with no issues.
255 under a stock fender??? Would 255-50-15 fit on an 8-inch wheel? Has anyone done it?
I bet a 255 would fit under this fender. This is called instant fender flaring.
Spoke

I am running 195-50-15's on fuchs... bridgestone re750's ... I have not notice it to be a harsh ride ... but will probly go to 195-55-15 next time ---
I really like the bridgestone they seem to grip and wear well ..... that is before my tinkering with the suspension though
aziens are pretty sweet. Can't beat the price either.
Gonna try some toyo proxxes r1 (at least I thnk thats what they are called) this weekend. Put them on the gti last night. See if they do a thing for that bloated pig.
oops sorry i meant 205/50/15
