You think it will hurt my car if it hits it directly?

I got WD-40 on it once.

M

Posted by: URY914 Sep 12 2003, 08:54 PM

The WD40 should repel any moisture which comes in contact wth your car.

I think you'll be fine.

I just painted my muffler red today, that may come in handy when looking for the black car later.

I've never been 165mph in a 914! WOW!

I need tires.

M

Posted by: URY914 Sep 12 2003, 09:04 PM

Get some of them "floatation tires"
You know, the ones that float.

Maybe you should find a pair of pontoons and an anchor for the car before Wednesday. laugh.gif Good Luck to you.

Hope that seat is bolted to the floor.
Got a roof on your house yet?

Posted by: scotty Sep 12 2003, 09:31 PM

ohmy.gif ...and the news says you're out of plywood!?!?!?!??? ohmy.gif

If it doesn't speed up/change course, get outta dodge Wednesday with the family and the 914! What are they saying for a storm surge?

I hope it turns north ...soon (and stays out at sea)

Posted by: redshift Sep 12 2003, 09:32 PM

You could stay dry an extra hour and thirty-two minutes @ Paul's place, Karl.

My car IS on the lift, so I know it will be finished Monday, and I will ride in bumper-to-bumper traffic 600 miles inland at idle on a 0 mile engine, that replaces the one I bought a year ago MONDAY at 12:18pm.

I would rather go 165mph.

Miles,
Come on down.

Well - never has a better opportunity been had for free wind tunnel (!) testing.

We expect a full report on which airdams and wings prode the most downforce.

But seriously - good luck.

Fiid.

Man, If that thing stays on course get the heck out of the way! They were saying that storm is a level 5! Thats as big as the scale goes! Florida was flatted the last time that happened!

Posted by: redshift Sep 13 2003, 07:59 AM

Yep. I helped my buddy empty his vintage guitar store, then we hauled ass to Bradenton, with it in our mirrors.

My friend from the Redlands lost a house. No, LOST it. The only thing they ever found was the slab, and holes where the chain link fence used to be.

-sigh-

I need to move back to earthquakes, and psycho midget gay republican satanist biker clubs.

I love LA.

It's not expected to get near the coast until the middle of next week (or early part).

It's clear and sunny and beautiful outside now.

I think a just saw a cow fly by. Oh wait, Twister is on TV.

If it's level 5- run! sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

Went back to Homestead Fla. where Andrew came in and I want you to know there wasn't nuthin left. Went to highschool in Homestead and while the roads were there, there wasn't a building, tree, shopping mall, Dad's old house, the AF Base, or anything remaining.

Felt like Dorothy in OZ. Knew where I was, but it was all different.

Southbeach (Miami) was the same, no old geezers in lime green leisure suits though. laugh.gif
