Looking at buying the setup (backing plates inards and cables)
#1 is 150 a good price and #2 will I need the cables or will mine from the 4 work??
Thanks for the VAST knowledge here @ the WORLD of 914's
I think around $100 is a decent buy. Less is better... more is, OK.
You'll need to have custom cables made up.
i paid 50 for my ebrakes...
Mine use factory 914/4 e-brake cables.
$150 is an ok price as long as you do get all the parts. I paid $150 for a pair of 911 trailing arms with the hubs.
I just spent yesterday working on mine.
Paid $40 for the e-brake assmblys.
Bought NEW 914-4 cables from PelParts.
Dont forget you will need rotors that work with these.
Also some calipers to fit those rotors. Of course there are some on ebay for cheap now that I got some.
Good luck.
I have I believe SC rotors and calipers...they are vented and was told I would need to space them (EDIT the calipers) with a washer or two....aren't all 911 rotors compatible??
70 to 84
see my brothers blog...

he is the man!
I paid 80 shipped for a complete pair of trailing arms.
Got one side done!
Lots more work that described in all previous threads.
Have to hand it to those who did this mod!
Some things....
1. must grind and cut trailing arm to make brake assm fit (four places)
2. remove one bolt location for dust cover
3. move anchor for line
4. weld on mount location for pivot bolt
5. fab and weld on backing mount for ebrakes
6. slot bolt holes for four mounting bolts
Good Luck!
thats basically what is described in all the articles
its on the agenda....
