Good luck to all you guys running at Packwood this weekend!
Thanks We're going to need it
There is some seriously killer cars in our class driven by some very tallented drivers. but I know we will have fun
What are you drivin' this weekend, Jon? Good luck. Watch out for all the crazy nuts that I race with up there.
Mark D.
The Packwod NT is well attended by the Pcar bunch.....better than most NTs, if not all. The Britbox was the only Pcar (NARP, actually ) at the Wendover NT, whereas there will be 14 or so Pcar jocks at Packwood. It's a nice drive for he local Porsche guys, well worth while to day trip & watch the big dogs run on either day.

Pcars done gud.
Good job, Britt. You keep runner upin' in XP, you should give the FP guys hell at nationals!
Mark D.
Very fun couple of days but boy do I suck when it comes driving 911s. I didn't get DFL but I may as well have. My first NT was worth it. Next year I will hopefully be in a car I am very familiar with .
Good job Britian. Very impressive driving beating out Snell.

Leeeds told me that his car is not handling well. The new radial tires are causing a push. He said the tires are more heat sensetive then the old bias R35 compound and the rears get hot & the fronts don't.....which seems like a good theory. To hear him tell it, Jodi called Greg after driving the thing and wanted to know how to cure it....then it broke & we got no cure....assuming there was one.
To my eyeball, I suggested a scrub radius problem....the front wheels are wide and I assumed a standard 5 inch backspace. I did run into one fella that understood that.....the owner of the Stagnaro CP Mustang. He's gone thru 2-3 front ends to get closer to 0 scrub.....and those are huge fronts...12 or 13 inch, me thinks. I took one look at the shallow positive offset of those wheels & went to talk to him. No push there and that thing is FAST...for a CA car. I think Brit has found a solution to get wide tires up front with no scrub problems.....we'll see.
Your theory makes perfect sense to me JP. I just hope Greg has time to look into it before Nationals. Leeds has been complaining a lot lately and I don't really get it. He sure isn't putting down the times he was three or four years ago. Dunno what the cause is but I have always loved watching Greg drive his car. Greg just makes that 914 dance.
Toby is certainly one of the best drivers I have seen. Just take a look at some of his incar video. He is on a different level than some of us mere mortals.
Assuming everyone breought their A game to the Nats in 2009;
Zust-XP: 110.2-W
Maier-CP: 111.8-W
Larsson-FP: 113.6-2nd
Yes, good markers. Zust beat Larsson by a lesser amount (2.4 sec) at the SD NT.
Fordahl was leading XP in that GT2 on day one at the 2008 Nats....finished 3rd.
Leeds said he was gonna make it to the ORPCA AX in Packwood this next Sunday.
If things hold true, he'll get lotso testing. There appears to be no other local AXs
before the Nats.
I see a possible ringer entered in XP this year....a white 95 M3 from CO.
there was a fellow driving a nissan 240SX (had idaho plates on it) at the SCCA event in packwood a few weekends ago. fast car, good driver. it has one of the japanese export engines installed. i think brittain was chasing his time when i left.
