Hi
I currently have a 914-6 GT 2.8. I was
curious as to brake options for vintage events.
Looking at groups like SVRA.
The car runs in VARAC in Canada. That series
has no rules for brakes. So the car has big reds
Upfront and 944Turbos in the rear. These will
Be an issue for most events.
Thanks for your input .
Cheers

Brakes will only slow you down and you don't want to go slow in a race car!
I've got 908 Front Aluminum Calipers on my car
You might have a displacement problem
Alloy calipers or a calipers can work
But look here:

Hi
I will be running in group 6 GTU. My concern is
can I run a different brake set up in that group.
It really dosent specify for group 6
Cheers
I forgot he races one of these! I will
Shoot him an email.
I run with the Vintage Racer Group, VRG. We have events in the New England and Mid-Atlantic areas. They would welcome you, but bump you up in class. You would be running with 914-6s, early V8 Mustangs, Corvettes, 911s, last event at NJ even had a McKee Can-Am car in our group. Great events and great group.
Have you tried calling SVRA? They *might* know what they allow...
