Hey Guys I have FOR SALE a Brand new AA Big Bore 96m High Performance Flat top, Piston and cylinder Kit to fit the 1.7 or 1.8 Motor. Also comes with Piston pins ,clips and rings. I decided to build a bigger motor with a different crank so these are not needed. This is a great way to increase compression and performance! Or just freshen up your motor and give it more kick...! Still in the original box. I'll take $249.00 plus shipping to where ever you live. PM me or call or text 502-797-7636
Thanks, Mike Attached thumbnail(s) |

Guys,...This is for a whole set !...I know the pics show only one cylinder and piston. I just did'nt see the need to remove every part out of the box. This Kit has 4 new 96m Flat top pistons, cylinders, Piston wrist pins , retaining clips and ring set. I'll have to check....the rings may be Hastings brand...I'm not sure.

Since it is 1.7/1.8 IIRC it is a 66 stroke.

Since it is 1.7/1.8 IIRC it is a 66 stroke. That's correct! .....These will fit the 1.7 or 1.8 engine Type IV engine with the stock 66m crank and stock rods. These are easy drop in (Slipper skirt) with no machine work to be done for the 1.7 and 1.8 block. No machine work for the 1.8 or 2.0 heads. However the 1.7 heads will have to be milled (opened up) to fit the bigger cylinders if they have not already been opened up previously. Which is not really a big deal...a good machine shop familier with air cooled VW or Porsche engines can do that for you. |

I gave $289.00 for this set plus shipping about 8 months ago on e-bay . I thought it was a fair price then!......They may be less exspensive somewhere else now ...I don't know...Like I said...they are a fair price. They are not Keith Blacks...they cost at least $499.00...and JEs are about $600.00 to $800.00.... If you find these (AAs) cheaper ...buy them!....it's a cheap fix....and they will do just fine...if your not going to do heavy autocrossing or racing....If your going to do that ...then spend some big money! Anyway...I've got another 1.8 block I can make into a strong 1911cc motor and sell it or put it in a old bug or replica Speedster. If someone else can use them ....I'll sell them...whatever is OK. It's all good.
thanks, Speedster Mike |
