I just bit the bullet and ordered a set 1 5/8" headers and a muffler from Chris at TR after originally considering a 1 1/2' set.
My current engine is a 2.4E with Webbers but at some time in the future I want to install a 3.0-3.2 in the car and I wanted use the headers on that engine also. Question is, what effect will the larger diameter header on the smaller capacity engine have? I'd also like to hear any general comments from those that use TR headers as well. Thanks again, Phil |

My guess would be the possibility of over-scavenging the engine and a drop in fuel mileage as the result ..If anything.
With a stock muffler, maybe no effect at all. |
