I'm having trouble installing my exhaust to the left head. Here are some facts of my situation.
1) Heads are rebuilt with new studs. 2) Right exhaust went on fine. So yes, I am using the correct side. 3) The exhaust and these heads were ever paired up in the past. 4) Everything is 2.0 L stock. 5) Visually the exhaust ears look off by less than a millimeter. Thanks for any help. If the ears are bent can I bend them back or just file the inside? |

My guy heated up the ears and bent mine slightly to fit.

I have seen step studs that have a bend in them.
I think they are the forged type threads not the die cut. So they wouldnt line up unless you clocked them correctly. I had to watch them very carefully as I was threading them in to figure it out. |
