Why are the rims on the orange 914 different than the yellow 914's rims? It's like the yellow 914's rims are deeper.

Some early cars had 4 1/2" steelies rather than 5 1/2". Deeper looking wheels on the first car are 5 1/2's.
(When I first got my early '71 in the winter of 70/71 I wanted different "mag" wheels on my car and while I was waiting they just stuck some 4 1/2's on it. Needless to say they weren't impressive.) |

Thank you. What are the correct wheels styles for a late 1969 production (1970 M.Y.) 914/4? Basically the earliest cars. |

The orange car looks like it has aluminum trim ‘beauty’ rings, a common VW item in the late 60s-early 70s
