On reinstalling the engine in my 76 2.0 D-Jet, I found myself asking the following questions. Can anyone shed any light?
1. Was the engine harness originally routed beneath the air plenum bracket to case or above the bracket? 2. Was the engine harness ground originally mounted to the top most bolt on the engine case? I don’t even have a bolt there. Anyone know the size? Why was the ground ring spade so often moved to the engine tin beneath the intake runner? 3. I gather the positive battery cable to starter was originally routed through the passenger side engine tin and held with clips to the back (trans) side of the engine tin. What did these clips look like? NLA I suppose. 4. Was the return fuel line from the regulator to plastic line on passenger side retained in any way other than the one double clip on the passenger side? I gather the double clip there is NLA and no sub has been found. The double plastic clip for the fuel lines and clips for the positive battery cable seem like good candidates for 914Rubber to offer. Here is the double fuel line clop: |
