Is the rubber boot that sits on top and round the sensor just lift off? Looks like the edge/lip on it is just sitting on top of the engine sheet metal.
Also, does it take 24 mm deep well socket to remove the sensor? Thanks EJP914 |

The rubber boot should come off relatively easily. As far as the sender, I went through about 4 different 24mm sockets (regular and deep) before I found one that fit nicely around the distributor. Most deep sockets will interfere with the distributor. Removing the distributor makes it much simpler to remove the sender.
