Good afternoon everyone,
I have one or two strange wiring problems on my 914. Does anyone know where I can find a coloured wiring diagram for my car, that is readable? I have found several on-line but they are so blurred they are unreadable. Thank in advance, Tony P.S. If you have a voltage drop on the starter circuit and your car does not always start well, I watched a really good Youtube video and fitted a recommended solenoid next to the starter. It works really well. If you want the video link, just let me know. |

Build date late 1974, first registered in California 1975. Neither of those are the "year". Check the VIN. The first three numbers should be "47x", where "x" is the last digit of the model year. My 74 starts with "474", for instance, while a car from the 1975 model year would start with "475". For either of those, though, the wiring diagram will be the "waterfall" type. Those are better at showing the ways that the circuits function, but worse at showing where the components and wires are in the car. --DD |

I will see what I can do with enlarging a coloured print out of the wiring diagram. I agree the waterfall diagrams are not always easy to follow. I will keep plodding on! |
