I have one head light that just won't line up. The body lines on the hood and the right headlight seem even but the left side just dosent sit right. It works properly but looks like __
Do I need to remove everything and start over? Or am I missing a simple trick? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-2-1063079671.jpg) |

Aligning is kind of a pain and a trial and error process. There are pivot shafts on either side of the headlight bucket that the headlight assembly pivots on. The inner ones are easy to get to - look for 3 bolts in a triangular pattern on the side of the headlight bucket accessible from the front trunk. The outer pivots are accessible through the inside of the fender well and only have 2 bolts. Basically, you need to loosen these, reposition the headlight assembly, and tightnen them. Don't tighten them too much because they strip easily. You may need to re-aim your headlights after doing this. Good luck.
P.S. Nice car, but the date was wrong. I fixed it for you. Demick Attached image(s) |
