As the topic title sez.. is the battery clamp supposed to be black, or the color of the body paint, for a 1970 build?

I can't tell it for sure, but I've never seen one in body colour so far

AFAIK Paul they were the same satin black on all MY's 70-76, like the engine tins', fuel tank's, rear trailing arms', etc. satin black color.

Paul, you can ask Mhead. He's the guy with the Irish green 69 date car in this forum. His car was never restored. I'd put my money on satin black as the others have mentioned.
