Purchased stock 1975 silver 2.0 four in Oakland in 1986, with immediate plans to convert to a six with MSDS quick six bar, headers and muffler. Was on the road by January 1987 with a 2.7 motor, stock trans, New PMO 40IDA3C Webers, MSDS headers, motor mount and muffler. Not too many 75 big bumper narrow body 914 six conversions at the time. I surprised a lot of 911's and 928's with this car. By 2000 the 2.7 started pulling head studs and at the time it was cheaper to buy a used 3.2 than to overhaul the 2.7.
