For many years I have been collecting parts and building my 914-6GT clone. Well, now it is time to start putting the car together. The engine is ready, a twin plug 3.0 built by iSystems. Gary Stratton of Stratton Motorsports added the NOS factory steel flairs, made the mods to the front trunk for the RSR oil cooler, and painted it. To really step up the clone, I have a set of RSR Cribie hood mount fog lights going on it too. Notice the front bumper is a factory steel one that Gary cut for the RSR oil cooler and boxed for the super clean look. The int. I have for concours, a rare 914 Recaro sport seat, and Konigs for the rest of the time, a Factory Porsche GT2 MOMO steering wheel & MOMO knob, a factory 914-6 dash & steering colum, I am planning on GT style door panels as well.. The engine a twin plug 3.0 built by iSystems with custom P&Cs, cams, 46 Webers, Jet Hot coated headers & factory style stainless Sport muffler. Cooling by a factory center mounted RSR oil cooler, factory oil tank and lots of Earls braided lines & fittings coming. http://www.isystemsperformance.com/ Susp. & Wheels 1988 930 front susp. & brakes with Bilsteins shocks, Velios upgraded rear control arms for the 930 rear brakes, all susp powder coated. Custom sperical bearings up from with stainless housings, custom bump steer kit, hollow 23 mm front t-bars, TARETT ENGINEERING Front Swaybar Assy. Factory 6 (off the Brumos 59 car rear sway bar. For street, 7&9X16 factory 930 Fuchs, for concours, 8&9X15 Factory Fuchs. Chassis was race prepared with Brad's long-tude panels and factory bits by Debra Gregg Motorsports (yes, Peter Greggs widow) The big thanks go to iSystems' Levon Pentacost for building the engine & tranny to where it should be, Powder Tech Plus' Richard Pitman & Howard Cook for powder coating just about everything that could be coated, Gary Stratton of Stratton Motorsports for the body work & paint (going above & beyond to help make a very importand deadline), Buddy Kennedy of Brumos Porsche, Floyd English, Hans Dieter Mandt and most importantly, my very good friend Phil Sparta, whom started this car and is the reason for me building it to the level I am. Many others have been a great help as well, but without the guys listed above, this GT would have never reached the level it has. UPDATE I picked the Teener up from Stratton!!!! Boy does it look sweet too, he still has the bumpers & fogs to paint. What Gary did to my steel from bumper, cutting it like a glass GT bumper, then boxing the opening. The front bumper is a work of art!! Attached thumbnail(s)
