Picked up the car in LV from Renegade on 8/4/06. First stop was the scales; came in at 2,260lbs. Spent a couple of days in LV with the wife and had a great (hot) time! As usual, the shortest distance between any two points in LV is under construction! We left early Sunday afternoon; I had intended to leave much earlier since I wanted to avoid the heat but we had too much fun the night before and got in kinda late. The temp when we left at 12:45pm was well over 100 and the car handled it with aplomb, ususally 180-185 on the temp guage (that is water temp of course). Going through Baker (the "Gateway to Death Valley") at 2:30 it was 106 and the car was totally cool at all times even though we weren't. Since everyone knows turbos work better in cooler air, I was surprised how well the car pulled in the very hot conditions. Oh well, that's enough for now - some pics follow. Attached thumbnail(s)
