Picked up the car in LV from Renegade on 8/4/06. First stop was the scales; came in at 2,260lbs. Spent a couple of days in LV with the wife and had a great (hot) time! As usual, the shortest distance between any two points in LV is under construction! We left early Sunday afternoon; I had intended to leave much earlier since I wanted to avoid the heat but we had too much fun the night before and got in kinda late. The temp when we left at 12:45pm was well over 100 and the car handled it with aplomb, ususally 180-185 on the temp guage (that is water temp of course). Going through Baker (the "Gateway to Death Valley") at 2:30 it was 106 and the car was totally cool at all times even though we weren't. Since everyone knows turbos work better in cooler air, I was surprised how well the car pulled in the very hot conditions. Oh well, that's enough for now - some pics follow.

Fresh out of the paint shop on 6/16! Beeyooteefull paint job with modern clear coat - no more faded blue!! Filled in rear deck holes and mounting holes for tail logos. Need rear bumper install, two stock rear view mirrors and new rear end 914 logo. Note shiny top too.
