This was not a fun profect, but it is the first step to my car stereo "NEW" install. I scraped and torched the tar, then used the POR 15 products to clean and etch and paint. The deading products all came from second skin. Very time consuming project, and no one will ever know, but it sure is quiet in my ride now Attached thumbnail(s)
I upgraded the headlights to HID wich made the factory fogs useless. I could not tell if they were on or off, and they looked really sad... all 35watts of em. I installed the Camp 914 Pilot kit. Took a little while and a couple of fuses, but it is absolutley awesome!! Now I have 50 watts with a very clean beam. WOW A few pics of the new H3 Lights Attached thumbnail(s)
H.I.D. kit took about 2hours to install. Used a pair of Hella H4 E code lens and a hid kit with a temp of 6000k (daylight) the harness on the kit plugs right into the stock plug but I had to add 2 holes between the trunk and headlight for the additional high voltage wiring. The kit draws about 8amps on startup and a constant 3amps. The systems is rated at 35 watts. Look at the difference between the headlight color and the fogs. The fogs used to match the Silverstar headlights that i removed. I love the look, and i will soon be upgrading my stock fogs to H3. Attached thumbnail(s)
This project was a neccesity because my high power sound system was being choked by the stock 55 amp alternator. I purchased a 75amp brand new bosch alternator and had it rewound to 120 amps, and swapped pulleys, perfect fit and WOW Next was to add multiple batteries. I chose Kinetik because they have great reviews and come in all sizes. No battery isolator needed. Attached thumbnail(s)
