Hello All,
I am new (obviously) and got the 914 bug now im just trying to find the right one. I am in cleveland and was wondering if there were any members in the detroit area that may take a look at a car for me. I found a 914 in howell and have been talking to the owner he has sent me pics looks good so far but its still a hike for me to go look at the car 3hr drive just based on pictures. If anyone would volounteer some time I would be greatfull and if I go get the car it would definatly be worth a few beers to me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
Let me know
Thanks

Here are some pictures I recieved from the curent owner on one of the cars im lookin at. My question is: Gased on your prior experinece with rust in the hell hole near the battery tray what level of cancer does this look like?
Stage 1 (oh you will be fine just have to go through radiation (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) sometime in the next 5 years)
Stage 2 ( Here are some drugs now "Sand & POR" we will if and well fix you up over the winter)
Stage 3 (Sir we need to do surgery immediately (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stirthepot.gif) if we get it in time we can save her)
Stage 4 (terminal Shes not gona make it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dead horse.gif))

Let me know what you think

Battery tray by itself is a Stage 2. But what you/we really need to see is actually below that and toward the firewall. With the rust you can probably plan on it being in the hell hole. See if you can get more pics.

This picture is from CFR's website. Tell the guy you want pics of this area under the ECU. Thats the box mounted to the battery tray.
