There is some rust and bad body work on each panel, and some structural rust on the longitudinal and control arm in the rear. Car on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-914-914-4-...=US_Cars_Trucks Often that would be described as minor surface rust, easily repaired. Sounds about right. Por 15? |

Thats too bad. Nice looking car. Well cared for on the top side. But thats what happens when you've never pulled the rocker panel covers.

Holy jeebus!
How can that car even drive over a bump without breaking in half?! Where'd you get those pics? |

Holy jeebus! How can that car even drive over a bump without breaking in half?! Where'd you get those pics? The seller to his credit is not trying to hide anything. Pictures from Ebay ad. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) and he did call it "structural rust" rather then surface rust. The rust is bad but the seller seems legit and knows where to look. |

Even took picture of oil leak on garage floor. Ah, I didn't scroll over through the pics far enough when I first looked at the ad to see those. It is good to see an honest seller. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) I'm curious what this car'll go for. While my car isn't quite as bad, it would give me a reference point of where to value my car. |

It is up to $3250. As someone mentioned above, the top-side is nice. Between the 2056, the early bumpers, mahles, etc., somebody could turn a tub into a nice car with all the parts from this one, or make a little coin parting it.

Car on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-914-914-4-...=US_Cars_Trucks Just remembered back in the day (early 70's) a Porsche mechanic at Stoddard who was usually last to close up in the evenings mentioned : when everything is dead quiet, air compressor and fluorescent lights off, you can hear them rust.
