A while Back I got this NOS front european turn signal leans kit.
Now I want to do it properly, and convert the bulbs from one to two. I saw this Kit on AA (and I like to avoid AA as much as possible) and I wonder, if it is any good? Also it is out of stockā¦ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Are there better options? |

You can post a WTB ad, I'm sure some people (me included) have sets of that light kit they aren't going to use. We buy parts and change our minds as our project changes direction over the years.

If Spoke makes them again that is the best. The kit like Camp and AA sells is marginal. I have a set I didn't use and would give it away free for shipping and that would be next to nothing...

Correct these kits are disappointing,a poor fit into the stock housings, joins in the wiring that make them hard to run, I also found them not very bright and changed to larger lamps which was an improvement. Had I known I would have bought the metal housing ones on German ebay, they appear to be more like the originals (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) . |

So after you all gave me such great advise, I just decided to make it myself... Here are some Pictures: I like your DIY ingenuity but what is that little metal thingy with the pointed ends? Have not seen them since the '70s... Maybe came in the tool kit? Is your bulb as bright as the Spoke LED solution? I need to do what you are doing. Thanks for the thread! |

Wonder how much of a difference it would make if you wrapped the new sheet metal with foil?

I got it out of my dads architecture stuff, I'm sure he has it till the 70s... They are pretty bright right know, it is galvanised sheet matel so it reflects the light pretty good. |

If Spoke makes them again that is the best. I should have more front boards in Feb. We're making rear boards now. The board shown below turns off the running light when the turnsignal is active to provide more contrast so others will see the turnsignal better. Attached thumbnail(s) Attached image(s) |

Spoke's boards are the easiest and best way to go. I've got both styles on my 914's. The euro style works great without that cheap plastic divider that's in the various kits.
Just need his rear boards for my '73- didn't order them in time on his last run. |
