Does anyone have a template or correct distance from TDC for remarking a 914 -4 1.8 fan?
On today's run up the coast and back down, my motor developed a sluggish fire-on-three-cylinder sound at 2k and it disappears at 3k and remains gone up to 5.5K where the rev limiter kicks in.. weird as it was running good recently but has faded since then. I have been told to dial in up to 35 degrees advance so i tried that and it didn't fix the sluggishness issue. Maybe a clogged circuit on the carbs?? When I ran in the Empi40 carbs, i had very little (no) issue with backfire and great performance and made the Flagstaff and back without incident. This week, things are sluggish.. Maybe the Gods of all 914-6 Conversions are casting a little GrisGris on my 2.2L so as to push the 3.0 SC motor into the bay..... Any insight and unbridled sarcasm would be appreciated and expected..
