I have both 5/16 and 3/8 byhtle tape. Looking at both, 5/16 looks to small, 3/8 a little to big. I'm going to use Mikey's Black rubber windshield seal so I'm leaning towards the 3/8th. Any help. Thanks, Mark

If safety is a concern, use urethane.

Thanks, Mark I heard somewhere.... that urethane is to be used if installing the rubber trim? I could be wrong I guess others will chime in. |

Please do not use urethane. Apparently it secures the windshield so securely that when our cars flex, and they will flex, it can crack the windshield. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Just went through this with XYG glass. Use 5/16". 3/8" is too thick. You can make it work, but better off with 5/16".
