The accident in Malibu on PCH was a Red Enzo... A friend just drove by it and had to call and tell me. Sorry no pics, he says it's FUBAR though. Debris for 50 yards, telephone pole is inverted...
Someone had a bad morning (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/unsure.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif) NOTHING left behind the doors. BJH |

And if you aren't in So-cal, you aren't important enough to get to see it (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/happy11.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/flipa.gif) Pics will show up i'm sure. I saw it on the news this AM. Couldn't tell it was an Enzo from the traffic copter shot. It was totaled. They said that the 2 occupants walked away from it too.
Sorry, no pix. |

Video: http://www.cbs2.com/
The print text says one person was treated for minor injuries at the scene, the voice over says it may be a fatality accident. Cabin area looks pretty intact, the rest ain't. The Cap'n |

I only looks to me like about half a million dollars damage so maybe the insurance company won't total it. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif)

That's the double-edged sword of modern engergy-shedding chassis design. By peeling off heavy peices like suspension & drivetrain energy is quickly disipated and you walk away with your life intact. On the other hand you get to watch layers of your car being sheared off in $100,000 chunks. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif) -Ben M. |

Seems to me the Enzo has a low polar moment of inertia like another car I know. I bet when the back end went it happened fast.

You mean this is a classic example of "losing the rear end"? I suppose rear end traction is REALLY bad when you don't HAVE a rear end ............. The Cap'n
