buttoned it up after last post and went to get some fuel. changes; new ball joints, turbo tie rods, triad upper stut mounts(spherical), and koni red ext adj. unbelievable!!! annoying clunks are gone. smooth and precise. i was worried about road transmital from the supports. none that i can feel what so ever. this will be very interesting on the way home from the alignment and corner balance tomorrow. i will share alingment numbers. it's interesting to drive two different cars within 12 hours. the carbed 2.0 and the 1.8 with f.i. the grunt of the silver car and the linear aspect of the red one.

Kevin, I wasn't paying attention. Did you replace the ball joints with the A arms on the car or off, ie, did you do bushings/torsion bars too?

a-arms on the car.i did not renew the old rubber bushings where the a-arms mount to the pan. i'm sure they have seen better days, but, given a heavy visual they did not apear to be all wallowed out. no fundage for mullers. plus i've not heard of feed back with regards to harshness. this is a street/ freeway car. i'm not stopping on the run south next summer because someone's back is sore. i figure sacramento the first day.

i had a rather unpleasant experience with polys years ago. they almost froze up. add that to kybs and the front end was like there were steel rods instead of strut cartridges. i'm watching the weather forcast for sunday.
