The fog rolled in last night, but it's was better than rain.....and it burnt off for fun runs. Best I could manage was low 56/high 55 vs TTOD (that pesky Miata) of low 53 , I think. Chuck did 54s and a Z car (FP) was a couple tenths quicker.
The most fun I had was driving Jim Chambers' car. It is very neutral handling and very predictable. The only problem I had with it was lifting the inside rear wheel. Even with that, it was it was easy to drive compared to mine......but it would be ugly trying to run CSP against that Miata (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) That Miata driver took 4th in CSP at Topeka. |

Maybe you need to provoke the Miata guy into spinning. Try painting something on your rear bumper like:
Miata's are chick cars. Or: Miata drivers are girlie men. The last one is compliments of our gov, Arnold. In case you didn't read it, thats what he called some of our state reps. |

He was behind me in the staging lanes. I tole him I needed a bumpersticker saying "Don't follow me, I'm lost" . He grinned & blew my doors off (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
His wife has been knowed to blow me doors off too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) The only time I got him was when he showed up on street tires. |

Hope to see you there! -- Brian Presser Œ04 TT 3.2 DSG Audi Club Northwest Club Activities Director / Member at Large TouchTech Systems, Inc. Multimedia Specialists & Apple Authorized Value Added Reseller 425-227-5310 ph. 425-227-5311 fax http://www.touchtechsystems.com brian@touchtechsystems.com Quattrofest is currently one third full, after a week of registration. If you are planning on attending our premier annual event at Portland International Raceway on November 4, 5 and 6th, I urge you to register now. Quattrofest is a great opportunity to learn what the full potential of your Audi is, and how to drive safely as you near its limits. You will become a better and safer driver as a result of attending. The club web site has a great description of what to expect at Quattrofest: go to at http://www.audiclubnw.org Thursday evening on November 4th, is registration and a ground school for novices and new drivers. Friday November 5th is Drivers Ed and Safety Skills for new drivers and novices, and lapping for instructors, solo intermediates and advanced drivers. November 6th is a full day of lapping for all participants. Both days are available for single day lapping, and you may attend the Driver Ed day without the lapping. Prices are posted on the registration form. The shirt and banquet are not included in the single day pricing. Convertibles must have an approved roll bar, such as the stock roll bar on the TT roadster, which passes the ³broomstick rule² so that a broomstick from the top of the windshield to the top of the roll bar is over the head of the driver¹s helmet. On-line registration is at http://www.pukkasoft.com/register/event.cf...9D59FBC736C78D5 I look forward to seeing you there! If you have specific questions, email me at prerucha@yahoo.com Paul Rerucha, president, Audi Club NW The Courtyard Portland North Harbor Marriot will be our host hotel again this year, as it provides quick access to the track, and covered parking. I had alot of fun today mostly cuz I was driv'n like you said to (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) I get into sliding around the corners &, Damn, it really makes me smile (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) it don't help the time but it sure is fun (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif) Now, for my seester n law... she's always been aggressive at everything she does and this doesn't surprise me. And yes she did wax my ass on her fun run. I was ahead by 1 sec until she let the balls hang out. Her 180 in front of the time tent showed her what the car could handle & how not to over correct. Must'a gave her more confidence (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) She's hooked on AX now & can't wait for Nov. 7th. Love havin her there. Oh, BTW, here's the fog and that hot 928. ....b Attached image(s) |
