Looking to just buy a bolt that will fit the OEM thread and pitch. Does anyone know the size? I hear it is an unusual thread pattern, possibly ACME. Is this something I can pick up at Home Depot or something? I just want a bolt...not a complete tow hook. Thanks all.

You can buy an industrial grade eye bolt. 10 x 1.5 These are much better than the OE tow hook. https://www.mcmaster.com/#eyebolts/=14yzs50 Bruce |

Looking for a 1 1/2" bolt in 10 x 1.5 if that is the correct pitch and thread. Would something like this work in the stock tow hook thread? http://www.ebay.com/itm/25-M10-1-5-x-30-M1...1gAAOSw9mFWGaeJ |

"10" is the major diameter in mm,* the 1.5 is 1.5mm between each peek to peek of the thread. *usually a tad under that, 9.XX |

If all you are trying to do is plug the threaded hole, yes. But what is the point to that? Just go to a common hardware store and get one cheap. |

Trying to add a nylon tow strap that I can remove instead of the OEM looking eye bolt one. I have the nylon tow strap but do not have the OEM one. Just need a bolt to make the one I have work.
Call me cheap but I like to use the parts I have in the garage. I figure one bolt and done. |
